This year the annual 44AD associates exhibition will see artists creatively responding to the theme of Material World - get ready for readymades, process and the value of stuff.

Material World (ground floor gallery) will accompany the exhibition The House that Painting Built (basement gallery) by Bath Open Art Prize award winner Ally McGinn.

For me, the most important element is the challenge to look at things differently; to see the narrative and philosophy in the questioning of ‘Art’. After all: which is more real, the world or the way we frame it?
