Gallery Curatorship with 44AD
The Gallery Curatorship course offers an insightful and inspiring programme, which is aimed to support the development of your curatorial skills. Alongside delivering a comprehensive overview of curatorial theory and research that will explore collections, documentation, installation and display, this course will feature an invaluable series of visiting talks from professional curators and gallerists. The Gallery Curatorship course will primarily be practice led; guiding you through the extensive practicalities of curating a professional contemporary art exhibition.
Studio Painting with 44AD
This year the popular studio painting course provides further opportunity to extend your painting practice with guidance from experienced tutors. You will be working from themed briefs and will be given practical support to further your knowledge of painting processes. You will primarily be working as a group in our studios on personal developments from a variety of stimuli that will encompass practical applications and the development of a personal narrative along with investigations into theory and contextual study.
This year sees a planned collaboration with 44AD. It is envisaged that some additional space will be made available for students to use on the day of the course for seminars, group collaboration and tutorials. A number of guest lecturers and visiting artists will be included in the course to focus group discussion and reflection.
