44AD’s door leads straight into the heart of the Bath Christmas Market and Bath Humbug will run alongside the duration from 23rd Nov - 10th Dec 2023.

Josie Bahar
Josie will be presenting new ceramic mermaids, candlesticks, mosaic trees and papier-mâché masks, each piece is always a one off! She will also be selling hand painted brooches and greetings cards.
Jonny Bainbridge
Jonny will have an array of abstract and landscape paintings of all sizes available, alongside a selection of exclusive mounted prints and greetings cards.
Carol Baines
Carol is a printmaker and artist who responds to the fleeting glimpses in nature that cause us to stop and wonder. Whether it’s a tree silhouette against a night sky, reeds rippling in the wind, or a tumbling waterfall, her work invites the viewer to connect with the natural world around us.
Gina Belford
Gina is a contemporary painter who runs intuitive abstract painting workshops at her home studio near Bath. Her paintings are created through an intuitive process, which she hopes will make your soul sing. Exploring the relationship between colour, texture, and mark making, Gina will have a variety of work available from large paintings on canvas to greetings cards and art gift boxes.
Piu Bose Art
Piu is a ceramic and cyanotype artist who creates hand thrown decorative stoneware and botanical themed cyanotypes. Working from a small studio at her home in Northend, she finds inspiration in the local flora and colours of the sea.
Kate Davies
Kate is an illustrator and watercolour painter who paints pictures of (mostly) Bath, populating them with little anthropomorphic characters, such as The Bath Bunns.
Kate injects humour into her work and hopes her work makes you smile (or even laugh out loud - it has been known!!). Original paintings are for sale (where still available), alongside quality prints, tea-towels, jigsaw puzzles, and cards.
Gemma's-Funky Art
Gemma’s Funky Art is inspired by fungi, fantasy, and folklore, reigniting the joy and wonder in what’s right outside our doorstep. Prints, stickers and zines will be available, created with printing techniques such as lino print and screen printing.
Jan Fisher
Jan's artwork evolves through a process of hand cut and Lino print making, further embellished by using collage and digital techniques. Texture, colour and perspective are instrumental to her creative practice. The majority of Jan's unique artworks aim to engage and to entertain children.
Polly Gough
Polly is primarily a printmaker, specialising in collagraphs but recently she has also been using the skills and techniques developed in her printmaking practice to create decorations and mixed media pieces. Original prints, mixed media, cards and decorations will be available.
Karen George
Karen paints predominantly in acrylic and mixed media and is best known for her semi abstract landscapes and seascapes with atmospheric skies. She works mainly from the studio taking inspiration for colour and subject from a series of sketches and colour studies that she has done on long walks and holidays to wonderful wild places.
As well as painting Karen runs workshops and co-hosts the Artchatter podcast
Rufus Hanson
Rufus creates stunning and unique jewellery, art and homeware made from historically interesting and unusual woods, such as rare 6000 year old bog oak and salvaged wood from Quercus Londinium, the original Roman built Thames dock. Mixing the natural beauty of wood with vibrant coloured resins, metals and glass; each piece is interesting and unusual.
Luke Holcombe Studio
Luke is an artist and printmaker who creates limited edition original prints, digital prints and cards exploring relationships to nature, memory and time.
Michelle Hinshelwood
Michelle produces handprinted etchings using a variety of techniques and materials, from traditional copper etchings to more modern methods such as photopolymer intaglio print and drypoint. Inspired by the wondrous flora and fauna found in nature, each etching is painstakingly handprinted in small limited editions.
These etchings make for perfect gifts, available both framed and unframed, allowing you to bring the beauty of the natural world into your own space.
Christine Lawes
Christine Lawes is a botanical artist who beautifully captures the essence of nature in her bold and contemporary style. Resulting from Christine’s observations studies, original art works, prints and cards will be available, showcasing her fascination with line, colour and form.
Gaynor Leverett-Jaques
Gaynor is a Wiltshire-based artist who loves capturing the world around with vibrant, confident colours. Her paintings have strong personalities and her intention is to spread warmth and joy with her work. Although working mainly with oils, she also enjoys the flexibility of acrylic and mixed media. When not painting, Gaynor co-hosts the artchatter podcast with fellow West Country artist Karen George.
Ruth Thorp Studio
Ruth is an illustrator and designer offering a colourful range of paper products including cards, art prints and books which are inspired by the natural world, incredible landscapes and a sense of adventure and storytelling.
Angela Trzaska
Angela is a ceramicist inspired by and concerned about the marine environment, particularly plastic pollution and its impact on the reproductive systems of marine creatures and on ourselves. Angela explores themes of post human embodiment through making hybrid creatures that inhabit a future in which the Gaia system de-centres the human and prioritises other species.
Victoria von Stein
Victoria is a multidisciplinary designer artist, telling empowering stories through botanical fine jewellery and illustrations. She hand-sculpts intricate botanical forms in wax which are transformed in precious metal featuring meaningful coloured gemstones. Made with recycled sterling silver, 22k gold vermeil or recycled 18k gold. They exude an elegant, botanical and sensuous look and feel, with refined textures, harmonious compositions, and vibrant gemstones for comfort and everyday radiant elegance.
Christine Watters
Bath-based ceramicist Christine works in stoneware, throwing forms on the wheel, finessing with surface textures and colour glazes. The stunning turquoise glaze displayed in this beautifully-worked collection came about from inspiration from visits to North Cornwall & Turkish coastal waters; the inscribed surface textures are reminiscent of rock formations and sea creatures.
