Bath Young Inventors Award 2023 is an exciting opportunity for you to invent something or create something innovative, whilst learning about some of Bath's great inventors from the past and present. Join us at the Invent It! information launch to find out more and discover a series of fun and free activi-ties in association with this award, all shining a spotlight on historical and contemporary inventors.

This booklet will be launched at the information exhibition and guide you on an exciting walk around Bath. Highlighting over 30 inventors and innovators alongside places of interest; this is a great chance to learn the history of some of your favourite places in Bath.

Bath Young Inventors Award 2023 is free to enter and the entry deadline is 25th June 2023.
How to Enter
An application guidelines pack will be available to pick up from the info exhibition at 44AD artspace between 16th - 25th February 2023, and appear on this web. page from 16 February 2023.

An exhibition displaying all the entries with design ideas (drawings and/or models) will be on display at 44AD artspace between 12-16 July 2023, with a prize-giving event held on Sat 15 July 2023 at MoBaW (Museum of Bath at Work).

Hand and Eye: William Harbutt Art and Industry

William Harbutt was an artist and teacher who invented Plasticine. Find out how about this popular modelling clay, which amongst other uses, has been used to create well loved characters in Oscar winning animations.
The Ideal Home: The Dyson Vacuum Cleaner and the Anglepoise Lamp

In the 20th century two local inventors James Dyson and George Carwadine showed how industrial technologies can be transferred to product design for use in the home.
